Our client, a modern brewery in Greece, is looking to recruit a Packaging Manager who will manage the packaging department to deliver packaged products (keg, can and bottle) of high quality, on time and cost-effectively.

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Develop and implement World Class standards within the Packaging department.
  • Develop, implement and continuously improve key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Work with the Engineering Manager and maintenance team to optimise line and machine efficiencies.
  • Ensure the Packaging department operates within company and legislated Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) standards.
  • Ensure safety, housekeeping and quality standards and procedures are maintained at all times.
  • Complete packaging raw materials and final pack stock takes and advise stock required to complete upcoming production.
  • Coordinate weekly planning between all areas to ensure production volumes are achieved with suitable stockholdings against the sales forecast.
  • Control finances in packaging through assisting in managing supplier contracts, setting budgets and regular financial reviews. This includes a sound understanding of the ERP system.
  • Be the expert across all packaging lines, assisting in breakdowns to minimise downtime and drive efficiency.

Experience and qualifications:

  • Qualified Engineer or packaging expert, preferably demonstrating both mechanical and electrical skills and knowledge.
  • At least 10 years of proven experience in packaging with 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in FMCG high speed packaging environment, preferably beer.
  • Experience in developing and implementing world class manufacturing standards.
  • Strong technical engineering and packaging skills.
  • Ability to communicate in Greek essential and English would be an advantage.
